Imagine getting to meet Marie-Vieux Chauvet in her own element. She welcomes you on the balcony of an old gingerbread in Bois-Verna. There, a colorful table and two tall straw chairs await you in a corner surrounded by branches from tall bougainvilliers and mango trees, forming a colorful alcove. When you light the candle, the base notes of Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Pine, and Amber welcome you first as you approach the corner.
The top notes of Cinnamon, Coconut, and Cranberry permeate the air, representing the cup of chocolat au lait and hot kasav with spicy peanut butter that you both share. You explore each other’s thoughts about revolutionary creation, early stages of fascism, and the literacy of exile.

Synopsis
Each scent is crafted based on an imagined meeting with my (and probably your) favorite authors. 4 are from the US, 4 are from the Caribbean (namely Martinique and Haiti). All scents are original, proprietary blends.
Proceeds from our candles go toward keeping our event ticket prices as low as possible so money is not a barrier for those who are interested and would benefit from the experiences.

Can I pick up my order?
If you live in Austin, TX or surrounding towns, you can pick up your order at a discount. Details about pickup will be shared upon purchase.
When will I get my order?
At this time, you can expect your order to be processed within 3 weeks. Then, you'll receive an email with a link to where you can track the shipping all the way to your door.
Can I exchange or return my candles?
No. All candle purchases are final. However, you can drop off your candle for repouring. Yet another benefit of reusable vessels!
